The Ghost Blade is created and written by Kris Pajarito and illustrated by Casielle Santos-Gaerlan.
Drawing from Philippine history, folklore, and mythology, the series blends alternate history and grounded mythology with coming-of-age drama, mystery, and action-adventure storytelling.
Kris Pajarito is a Fil-Am writer and former DreamWorks Animation production assistant whose work explores identity, memory, and the drive to reimagine lost stories. She currently lives in Brooklyn with her tripod family, reading web comics and dabbling in poetry.
Casielle Santos-Gaerlan is a Fil-Am illustrator and Parsons-trained visual artist whose color-expressive, bold 2-D style brings the world of The Ghost Blade to life. An NYC native, you can often catch Casielle at one of her many art shows and art pop-ups around the city, and nationwide.
Stay tuned for an original Filipino graphic novel universe that envisions the past while asking new questions about the future.
